When God inspired the writers of the Bible to instruct us to never let the sun go down in anger, he knew very well what that meant and how anger management techniques affect the human being and his quality of life. It is a fact that the average human being is weighed down by anger. The more pounds you carry, the heavier the weight imposed on you.

However, in the same Bible, the writer instructs us to forgive seven times seventy times a day; meaning four hundred and ninety times a day! This shows the importance of forgiving those who make us angry and anger management techniques are the greatest tools you can use to manage anger in your life.

Anger affects your quality of life at home, at the workplace and in social settings. It makes it difficult for you to see beyond the theoretical to the real. In other words your mind becomes clouded by and needs anger management techniques.

Even if someone steps on your toe by mistake and apologizes or innocently makes a comment or statement, your anger management techniques can help you, or you may you blow everything out of proportion instead.

It is only afterwards when the fuse has blown off and you have cooled off that you realize to your embarrassment that your failure to use anger management techniques has lost you your relationship and trust.

If you are carrying anger from your childhood, past relationships, present marriage and who knows even future events, you cannot expect to build anger management techniques, let alone a healthy marriage.

A lot of marriages are on the rocks because the spouses are not using anger management techniques and instead are taking out their frustrations on each other, or are projecting their pounds of anger on each other.

How can you see the good in your spouse or the efforts they make toward the marriage when you can't trust them? Perhaps you have been hurt in the past and you are living in fear that your spouse will also reject you. All these anger management techniques can help you manage your life.

Otherwise, the lack of anger management techniques makes it difficult for your spouse to ever please you. Therefore, I say, drop the pounds of anger and start living.

Let go of past hurts, disappointments and learn to forgive and forget. Oops... maybe forgetting is not such an easy thing but when you forgive you release the anger management techniques and let loose the other person who is tied around your neck like a tight noose!
