Anger, Who Has Control?

Anger, Who Has Control?

"Having trouble controlling anger is a major issue in many individual's lives. The main issue of anger management is that anger is regarded as an incorrect projection of the mind, so that wisdom and insight can ultimately correct the mind and eliminate anger completely. Aside from relaxation, a form of controlling anger is to change the way you think. (Go To Your Happy Place)."

Anger:
Anger is caused by your inability to mentally cope with some situation. This type of anger is not considered an abnormal human emotion; it is a temporary psychological state that may range from minor irritation to the need for court ordered anger management.

Anger is a response that nature devised to help us defend ourselves when attacked. But going unchecked, anger can make you cynical and hostile for an entire lifetime. Indeed, anger can be a terribly harmful emotion if it isn't controlled, and if it isn't the legal system may require court ordered anger management.

How one responds to anger, however, can mean the difference between a healthy and appropriate approach to problem solving and a violent, uncontrollable reaction that can not only hurt oneself, but those around that person as well. That is when court ordered anger management may be the outcome.

It is important to distinguish the difference between healthy and unhealthy anger, and get it under control. It can either be directed in a healthy or an unhealthy manner, and simply controlling it, it will affect your health. It is important to distinguish the difference between healthy and unhealthy anger, and get it under control.

Everybody in society is experiencing stress in our lives due to demands of our jobs, family situations and economic conditions. Anger management in the family unit is necessary for everyone to keep good relations within their individual families, and with the people in the workplace. Work hours continue to increase and many individuals have the added challenge of raising a family, and family life can be disrupted because of a parent's uncontrollable fits of rage. Coping daily with anger issues individually or in a family environment is stressful. Many families blame others for their lack of anger management, when they just need to look in the mirror. Failing to do so may trigger court ordered anger management as a result.

Relationships:
Have you lost some important relationships or created problems for yourself at work because you couldn't seem to control your angry behavior? Where anger becomes a problem is when anger starts destroying us, and ruining our relationships with others, or when we become outwardly destructive. On the other hand, suppressed anger can fester and can lead to a host of problems, such as poor health, dysfunctional relationships, low self-esteem, inability to focus and concentrate, and so on. Either way, the outcome could be as extreme as court ordered anger management.

Controlling our anger is necessary, but we are all prone to feeling some amount of human emotion against a situation or to react in a negative manner when we are threatened (although this only refers to real threats, not imaginary ones that exist only in our mind). Controlling anger is a lifelong challenge that we usually succeed with but occasionally fail in as well. Anger control is challenging because the energy of the anger can feel so explosive, stressful and unmanageable, it's not good for us or the world for that matter, especially in relationships! Anger management is designed to help the individual work out their problems, help them figure out why they become so angry in the first place. Controlling our anger is very difficult, but if we have it under control, then we are the winners in our careers, as well as in our personal lives, and families...
